On October 19, 2019, the 14th National Handsurgery Academic Conference of the Chinese Medical Association was successfully concluded in Wuxi, the beautiful pearl of the Taihu Lake Lake. More than 2000 representatives from all over the country registered to participate in the event. Under the leadership of Dean Huang Dong, a group of seven people including Director Gu Xinqing from the third district of Shouwai, Director Lan Rongyu from the fourth district of Shouwai, and Dr. Wang Xiaoli from the first district of Shouwai were invited to attend the conference and deliver academic reports on various topics. In addition, our physicians won awards in the Young Physician Paper Competition.

 

The academic conference on hand surgery, with the theme of "inheritance, promotion and innovation", gathered domestic and international medical experts. The conference carefully arranged master lectures to introduce the latest developments and medical frontiers in the field of hand surgery, and also invited top hand surgery experts from Europe and America to bring the latest research progress in various fields of the discipline to domestic and international counterparts.

Keynote Report

 

The theme presentations by representatives of physicians from Guangzhou Heping Orthopedic Hospital at various sub venues reflected the clinical achievements of our hospital in the treatment of various hand and foot diseases using microsurgical techniques.

 

 

 

Huang Dong, former chairman of the Hand Surgery Department of Guangdong Medical Association, current chairman of the Microsurgery Department of Guangdong Medical Association, and president of Guangzhou Heping Orthopedic Hospital, delivered a speech titled "Special Types of Thumb and Finger Reconstruction" and served as the host at the replantation and reconstruction venue.

Youth Thesis Competition

 

The Youth Thesis Competition is the highlight of this conference, providing a first-class platform for young physicians from all over the country to showcase their personal style and professional skills in hand surgery. In the just concluded Youth Paper Competition of the 14th National Academic Conference of the Hand Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, after a fierce competition among young doctors nationwide, our hospital's young hand surgeons achieved excellent results with their outstanding performance. Gu Xinqing, director of the Third Department of Trauma Microsurgery and Hand Surgery, won the second prize in the central and southern regions for "Optimizing Combination Skin Flaps for Repair and Reconstruction of Foot and Foot Detachment Injuries in 2 Cases", and Wang Xiaoli, director of the First Department of Trauma Microsurgery and Hand Surgery, won the third prize in the central and southern regions for "Application of Super Microsurgery Technology in One Case of Hand Injury". We would like to express our warm congratulations to them, which fully demonstrates our hospital's excellent characteristics and first-class technology in hand and foot microsurgical repair and reconstruction, and has gained unanimous recognition from experts and peers in various regions.
